Hey Guys, it is possible to remove the tank with removing the petcock. The drawback is that you WILL scratch the frame while doing it. I just live with it, nobody sees the scratches with the tank on anyway. By the way I too have thought about removing the chrome covers on the head just to make checking the plug easier. I just wonder how bad the bike will look with them off? Ride Safe and maintain oil level.
